Prelude to the Afternoon of a Storm 1.50 PM

from Aurora Musicalis by Sounds of Space Project

/

about

This track features recordings from the early afternoon, in the same vein as the first, consisting largely of spherics, chorus, steady hiss and the occasional weak whistler.

The piano improvises a figure and sequence based on one chord the G Major 7 to allow this fluctuation to be easily heard. This music is very simple but extremely changeable, a response to the intense fluctuations of the 'sounds' on a spectrogram (which visualises the 'sounds'), which we viewed when first listening to the 'sounds'.
